Circle’s USD Coin has surpassed its largest competitor, Tether, in transaction volume this year, according to data from payment giant Visa and blockchain analytics platform Allium Labs. This milestone marks a significant shift in the stablecoin market, which has traditionally been dominated by USDT.

Visa metrics reveal that USDC transaction volume reached $455.5 billion last week, dwarfing USDT modest $88.5 billion during the same period.
