PEPE led gains on crypto price leaderboards for the second day in a row Tuesday, fueling suspicions that the meme coin rally is back on track. The entire rest of the crypto market, except FLOKI, was in liquidation for 24 hours, proving that holding some meme coins in your bag is a powerful way to stay ahead in whipsawing financial markets.

Why is PEPE so strong? Because it’s a meme with deep Internet magic that is popular with a massive online community. New meme coins like PEPE don’t launch every day, but there’s usually at least one or two altcoin gems with that kind of growth prospect every quarter throughout each year after Ethereum launched in 2015.

What is incredibly wild about the Internet and the emergence of cryptocurrency is that PEPE did not even exist until just last year. After launching in 2023, the Ethereum Frog Money is now capitalized at $4.5 billion, ranking as the 23rd largest economy among cryptos as it led gains Tuesday, with a nice +7% gain for the day while Bonk and several other Solana memes fell.

What is interesting about it is that PEPE shot the moon out of nowhere in May 2023 right after launching on April 17th directly to exchanges with no presale (PS), initial coin offering (ICO), or airdrop. Right before PEPE launched, major crypto news outlets didn’t even know it was there.

It was a secret.

Just three days before it launched, The Motley Fool, a popular mainstream investing source, said meme coins “no longer have a future.”

Computer Programmers Are Like Cats

Today, there are still secrets in the meme coin ecosystem, like Ethereum Kai Cat ($KAI).

Look, among some of the most-cited altcoin presale lists on popular sources like 99Bitcoins and CryptoNews.com this May, most of them have all the new dog memes up for sale but don’t seem to know anything about the Cat. There’s no telling if it will be the next PEPE, but it won’t stay in presale for long at the rate KAI coins are flying out of the presale pool.

The project has currently raised over $229,000 while flying under the radar all stealthy like Pepe did in April last year. KAI Cat has an active X account to stay in touch with its presale backers, but looking around the web on Google search, there’s hardly a peep out of the usual suspects about the project’s presale and upcoming launch.

They say computer programmers are like cats, always up to some trouble, but you never can catch them at it. Seems, like an actual cat, that the new Ethereum meme currency project is up to some trouble-making that normal humans haven’t seemed to notice so soon in its project roadmap.

Presale is the first phase of the new Ethereum meme token’s roadmap when altcoin gem hunters looking for the next big meme to arrive out of the aether can purchase KAI tokens at the same, fair, stabilized pre-market price, but only for a limited time.
